Aleks is a passionate attorney and advocate. After obtaining Bachelors Degrees in Finance and Economics from DePaul University, Aleks enrolled at The John Marshall Law School to pursue his dream of becoming an attorney. Aleks obtained his J.D. in 2013 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the Federal Bar in 2013. He is a proud member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyer Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. Aleks has a keen interest in international law and has worked as a Defense Clerk at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Netherlands. In addition to international legal affairs, Aleks is an avid and innovative civil rights advocate, having litigated countless claims of discrimination, retaliation, and governmental misconduct. Additionally, coming from an immigrant background himself, Aleks is an enthusiastic advocate for immigration and immigrants' rights. It is his personal goal to help newcomers come to this country to achieve the basis for the American dream.
